Marathon - The Marathon Playlist

The Marathon Playlist - Blimey how hard it can be??? As always i am great at prioritising! When daunted with a 26 mile challenge and the physical effects of basically being stabbed in the muscles by small little knives for over 4 hours what should you do (the obvious answer here is go for a training run) But alas not I as i have more serious considerations to take into account such as have i got a little bit too much Stevie Wonder in the playlist and is my street cred going to take a knock with men in hats with the safety dance!! Serious stuff I know!!!

Blindsiding my 14 year old daughter i actually have a couple of dance classics in there but as always in the world of Neil it's not proper music unless it has a guitar in the track and anything basically since we went from the noughties to the teenies has been pretty dreadful and to be honest the noughties were not that great......The 90's however now theirs a decade.

Anyway i digress so going back to the Marathon playlist it needs 3 basic rules firstly everything has to have a pretty good beat to run against. Secondly no soft ballads, nothing worse then hitting the bottom of a hill about to climb in a head down hell this is going to hurt style when either an Adele or bloody Ed Sheehan track comes on just to muck up any chance of motivating yourself to drag you tired backside up the steep slope!! And finally its got to be something you enjoy. Marathon training can be pretty lonely but look on the bright side i also get 2-3 hours to myself listening to music as your running that you actually like and like a brucie bonus not having your eldest child demanding you play Stormzy on continuous loop!!!!

So attached is my playlist....have a look and please make comments and if you have any suggestions for any decent tracks not yet on there let me know :)
